Release 2026.3.2

Feature: AI Rendering
Description: Added option to list the picture publicly in the SoftPlan AI Rendering gallery.

Feature: SoftList | Export | Excel | Description | NAHB Cost Code
Description: If you export a SoftList report to Excel, the NAHB Cost Code column in the Excel file generates with the same info as the Description column. This has been corrected

Feature: 3D | Ai Render
Description: AI Enhanced Render option is disabled for elevation, section, interior elevation, presentation, roof profile and ceiling profile views as it is not optimized for those views.

Feature: 3D | Ai Render
Description: Added the ability to send an image with your screen aspect ratio to the AI Render.  This produces images closer to what you are viewing on screen in proportion.

Feature: File | AI Renders Folder
Description: When downloading renderings from the your render library the images would be placed in the current projects ‘AI Renders’ subfolder.  It now places the image in the ‘AI Renders’ subfolder of the project it was generated from. If that project doesn’t exist on the computer, it downloads into the active project folder under ‘AI Renders’.

Feature: DWG | Import | File
Description: Importing a specific dwg file would lock the cursor out of the workspace.  This has been corrected.

Feature: Add Roof Edges
Description: Under certain conditions adding a roof edge would corrupt the roof. This has been corrected.

Feature: Import DWG Wizard
Description: Using the wizard to import a specific DWG could crash the program. This has been corrected.

Feature: Stair Repeat Edit
Description: Under certain conditions using repeat edit on a stair could cause the program to crash.  This has been corrected.

Feature: Openings | Shutters | Wainscot Wall
Description: Shutters, pediments and keystones are floating away from the opening when placed on a brick/siding (wainscot) wall. This has been corrected.

Feature: Blocking | Garage Door Bucks
Description: Blocking generates through garage doors that have ‘Garage Door Bucks’ enabled.  This has been corrected.

Feature: Roof Material Profile | Raked Fascia
Description: Roof Material Profiles are generating incomplete when roof is set to have a Rake Fascia Style. This has been corrected.

Feature: Child Window | Alt + Tab | Model Mode | Elevation | Section
Description: Using Alt+ Tab to switch between a main SoftPlan window and a child SoftPlan window could cause the wrong window to become active.  This has been corrected.

Release 2026.3.0

Feature: Note Dialog
Description: 2025-09 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5065789) caused a redraw issue with multiline text controls.  SoftPlan changed the options used in order to fix the redraw issue.   Some backgrounds of dialogs may have artifacts as a result, however the note dialog redraw should be fixed.

Feature: Configure Opening | Stall/Page Fault
Description: SoftPlan could stall in certain circumstances when adding transoms to openings in the drawing library.  This has been corrected.

Feature: Roof On Bay | Edit | Pitch
Description: When editing a Roof On Bay and attempting to change the Pitch in the Roof tab, the new value isn’t accepted.  This has been corrected.

Feature: SoftList | Building Options | Walls | Framing | Openings | Jack Studs | Headers
Description: In certain circumstances, switching building options would not update framing counts properly in SoftList until the project was closed and reopened.  This has been corrected.

Feature: Cabinet Offset Reference | Flooring | Subfloor
Description: Cabinets will continue to reference the Flooring, even if the Offset Reference is set to ‘Subfloor’.  This has been corrected.

Release 2026.2.9

Feature: Ceiling Profiles
Description: Smoothness of ceiling profiles was not as smooth as it was in 2024. This has been improved.

Feature: Watermark | Shapes | Print
Description: A watermark that contains shapes does not print. This has been corrected.

Feature: Draw Select Slow
Description: In certain circumstances performing a draw select on a wall would place the wall more slowly than drawing walls directly. This has been corrected.

Feature: Roof Edit Crash
Description: In certain circumstances, setting a vertical intersect roof style could cause a page fault. This has been corrected.

Feature: SoftList | Archive
Description: An archive of SoftList from v2024 will not restore to v2026. This has been corrected.

Release 2026.2.8

Feature: Paint | Shape | Circle | Ellipse
Description: We are unable to add paint within a Circle or Ellipse Shape.  This has been corrected.

Feature: Paint | Zoom
Description:  At certain zoom scales paint will not generate in smaller room areas.  This has been corrected.

Feature: 3D | Interior Trim | Openings
Description: The Interior Trim extends out further than it should in a wainscot wall (ie: Brick/Siding) for Bifold, Barn Door and Arch openings. This has been corrected.

Feature: Cabinets | Tiled Backsplash | Wall offset
Description: When the wall has an offset, the tiled backsplash added to cabinets is double offset and sits above the countertop.  This has been corrected.

Feature: Combined Walls With Heights
Description: When you combined two walls we should maintain the bottom offsets and the top heights of the wall. Two raked walls do not become flat after combining them.   This has been improved.

Feature: Auto Dimension | Custom Building Options
Description: You can no longer use Auto Dimension to create a separate set of dimensions and extensions in each custom Building Option.  This has been corrected.

Feature: Wall | Opening | Wrap
Description: In certain circumstances wall materials would not wrap into the openings properly.  This has been improved.

Release 2026.2.7

Feature: 3D | Roof | Ridge Cap | Ridge Vent | Multiple Floor Roof | Sheathing Placement
Description: When enabling Ridge Vent, it isn’t generating correctly in 3D in some cases. This has been corrected.

Feature: 3D | Soffit | Roof
Description: The soffit is missing under the hip returns in some projects. This has been improved.

Feature: Add Roof Edges
Description: In certain projects, adding roof edges can cause a page fault.  This has been corrected.

Feature: Beams | Duplicate
Description: In certain situations a duplicate operation on beams can cause stray lines shown until the drawing is closed and opened again. This has been corrected

Feature: Changing Drawings actions slow
Description: Changing between the Make parallel drawing action and other actions can cause a long cursor lag.  This has been improved.

Feature: Configure Symbol Wizard
Description: When you select the Link to 3D Symbol in the Configure Symbol Wizard dialog – if the 3D Symbol Folder only contains one 3D Symbol file, the 3D Symbol Folder and 3D Symbol fields do not fill in with the selected symbol and all the previews fail to generate as you select next through the dialog.  This has been corrected.

Feature: Deadlock | reset symbol
Description: In the drawing library, reset an opening or symbol and the program can deadlock. This has been corrected.

Feature: Dimension Reverse
Description: Reversing a plan is not always keeping moved dimension text in place relative to the dimension line. This has been improved.

Feature: Dimension | Reverse | Automatically Move Dimensions
Description: If under Dimension/Extension Options > Dimension Options you have “Automatically Move Dimensions” turned off, when you reverse a floor plan the dimensions on one side of the building will be misplaced overtop of their respective dimension lines.  This has been improved.

Feature: Double Hip | False Gable
Description: A false gable added along a double hip roof edge no longer recognizes the 2nd pitch.  This has been corrected.

Feature: Elevation Openings | Exterior Trim
Description: Exterior Trim on saved Elevation Drawings are masking items they should not. Exterior trim no longer hides objects in front of it.

Feature: GPU Preferences | MISC | Video Card
Description:  By default SoftPlan should now use a discrete dx12 graphics card even if the onboard graphics has dx12 capability.

Feature: Match Roof Planes | Roof
Description: In certain circumstances the match roof planes command was failing to match properly.  This has been corrected.

Feature: Opening | Garage Door | Opening Layout Tool
Description: Garage Doors that are created using Elevation Openings from the Door Layout Tool do not extract correctly in 3D.  This has been improved.

Feature: Openings | Door Layout | Barn Doors | Track and Trolley
Description: When a barn door is made from an elevation opening created using the new Door Layout tool, the Track and Trolley are not locating the door surface properly. This has been corrected.

Feature: Options | Visible Items | Show/Print Walls Solid
Description:  ‘Show/Print Walls Solid’ now also prints the Beams as Solid.  This has been corrected.

Feature: Paint Spill
Description: In certain circumstances, paint can spill outside of the boundaries.  This has been improved.

Feature: Paint | Arc
Description:  Arcs added to a Paint Pattern no longer generating as arcs. This has been corrected.

Feature: Project Information | Contractor Name Length | File
Description: Under Project Information, the Contractor Name field only allows a name that is 21 characters long. This has been expanded.

Feature: Raked Walls | Offset
Description: In certain circumstances the rake of a wall was not accounting for the elevation offset of the wall. This has been corrected.

Feature: reView Model File | PBR Textures
Description: pbr textures were not exporting properly to review.  The albedo texture of the PBR is now used in the review export.

Feature: reView | Model
Description: reView models exported in 2026 were not viewable in reView.  This has been corrected.

Feature: Ridge Cap | roof
Description: When using a profile, on a small ridge we do not display the ridge cap properly.  This has been corrected

Feature: Ridge Cap | Vent | Roof
Description: When a Ridge Cap that is using a profile, and you have a Ridge Vent that doesn’t go to the edge of the ridge, we do not generate the rest of the ridge cap past the end of the vent.  This has been corrected.

Feature: Roof | Beam Clip
Description: Clipping a beam to a roof did not match the results of version 2024.  This has been corrected.

Feature: Roof | Gable End | Transition Board | Wall Profile
Description: When Transition Board is used in a gable end, and the wall being referenced by the gable edge has a profile, the profile doesn’t display in the area between the top of the wall and the Transition Board.  This has been improved.

Feature: Roof | Hip Returns | Soffit
Description: There are overlapping soffit surfaces when a gable roof is set to have Hip Returns, and the Hip Overhang is greater than the gable Overhang. This has been improved.

Feature: Roof | Purlins | Covered | Sheathing Placement
Description: When using one of the first three Sheathing Placements with Purlins enabled, the Purlins aren’t being covered along the perimeter of the roof. This has been improved.

Feature: Saved Drawing Options > Deleting a template.
Description: If you delete a ‘Saved Drawing Option” file (template), that file will be restored next time you start SoftPlan. This has been corrected.

Feature: Vertical Scroll Bar
Description: when you zoom in on a Drawing a bit to get the Vertical and Horizontal scrollbars, the Horizontal scrollbar moves the drawing as you move the scrollbar. The Vertical scrollbar doesn’t move the drawing until you release the scrollbar. Also, the vertical Arrows on either end of the scrollbar don’t work when clicking them. This has been corrected.

Feature: Wall Covering Capping Holes
Description: The trim covering on wall covering holes does not work if the opening starts or stops at the same height as the wall covering. This has been improved.

Feature: Wall Material Wrap
Description: Wall materials are not wrapping around the edge of the openings in 2026 like they did in 2024. This has been improved.

Release 2026.2.6

Feature: Archive | Restore | Drawing Templates | File
Description: If your archive has Drawing Templates (configs) that are dated earlier than those on your cloud backup, after restoring them and restarting SoftPlan, the ones in the cloud backup are copied over the ones you just restored.   This has been corrected.

Feature: Clip Stair to Wall | Angle
Description: In some cases, a stair won’t clip to the inside edge of a partition wall. This has been improved

Feature: Copy | Multiple Placement | Count
Description: When copying an item, clicking to place the item, and setting the Count as needed, using the Tab key to move through the fields will reset the Count to 1 until you reselect the number you already set it to. This has been corrected.

Feature: Cursor | Cross hairs | Drawing Screen
Description:  After submitting  a ticket some users have described a problem where the cursor changes to an arrow and does not return to the crosshair when entering back into the drawing screen. They are forced to close SoftPlan and restart it to regain the crosshairs and to be able to modify drawings again.  This has been corrected.

Feature: Dimension | Temporary Dimension
Description: With ‘Display Temporary Dimensions’ enabled, SoftPlan no longer displays faded Dimensions when hovering between dimensionable items.  This has been corrected.

Feature: fraction vs decimal | MISC
Description: In certain circumstances entering a fraction will give the wrong decimal value.  This has been corrected.

Feature: Missing Symbol Replace Cabinet
Description: In certain circumstances, newly drawn symbols would not display in plan after using the Replace Cabinet with Symbol command.  This has been corrected.

Feature: Move>Align to Edge | Attach
Description: Move>In certain circumstances Align to Edge with Attach enabled behaves differently from 2024.  This has been improved.

Feature: Opening Text | Move | R.O. Size | Product Code
Description: When R.O. Size and Product Code opening text is enabled for an opening, you can’t select the Product Code text to move it.  This has been corrected.

Feature: Paint | Accuracy
Description: In certain circumstances paint was not filling painted areas as accurately as 2024. This has been corrected.

Feature: Profile
Description: When adding a crown mold to a cabinet, where the crown mold would intersect with the wall, it is mitering instead. Crown Mold, Baseboard, Chair Rail and Banding profiles no longer display a return on an end that butts up against a wall.

Feature: Reverse | Dimension
Description: If a dimension number is moved to a custom location it doesn’t reverse. Worked properly in 2024.  This has been improved.

Feature: Roof | Roof Hole
Description: Tracing a roof and roof hole has been improved in certain circumstances.

Release 2026.2.5

Feature: 360 Photo
Description: Creating a 360 photo resulted in a “Page is only accessible through the SoftPlan application” message on the SoftPlan webpage This has been corrected.

Feature:  Roof | Gable | Hip Returns
Description: The soffit material is missing under Hip Returns on a Gable roof edge. This has been corrected.

Feature: Align Drawing | Plan set
Description: A drawing on a Plan Set page will now align correctly with a drawing on a different page when that other page isn’t open in a tab.

Feature: Roof Framing | 3D
Description: A deadlock could occur with roof framing on when generating 3d, cross sections or elevations.  This has been corrected.

Feature: Dimension | Set Distance Between | Notes
Description: Improvements have been made regarding the set distance between command and notes that wrap.

Feature: Opening Schedule
Description: Opening Schedules could cause internal issues that potentially could cause symbols to disappear when drawn.  This has been corrected.

Feature: Edit | Wall Height
Description: Can no longer use the wall height command to give 0′ wall heights as a 0′ height could cause 3D not to generate.

Feature: Saved Elevation and Section drawings
Description: Saved Elevation and Section drawings now allow all items to be copied to the clipboard.

Feature: Finishing Options | Order | Reset | System Options
Description: When resetting the Flooring finishes in a project, the names of the finishes on the drawing are maintained, even though there were in a different order in the list prior to the reset.

Feature: Floor System | Slab | Offset | Insulation
Description:  When the slab offset equals slab insulation thickness, the insulation may not  extract correctly. This has been corrected.

Feature: Help | What’s New in SoftPlan 2026
Description: What’s New in SoftPlan 2026 and What’s New in this Release opens to appropriate web pages.

Feature: Hip returns | Roof
Description: Some hip returns are missing the board ends.  This has been corrected.

Feature: Nested Region | Extensions
Description: Extension lines can now be added to a Nested Destination.

Feature: Roof Hole Error
Description: Roof holes added near or over intersection roof planes with a negative pitch (auto pitch) now properly cut the hole.

Feature: Roof | Edit | Apply Gable Valley
Description: Apply Gable Valley was not functioning properly.  This has been corrected.

Feature: Roof | Gable Hip Returns | Default Fascia Style
Description: The Fascia Style for Hip Returns on a Gable edge now match the adjoining Hip edge. The fascia now displays when Fully Hipped is enabled.

Feature: Rotate Block | Deadlock
Description: Under certain circumstances the Rotate Block would not complete.  This has been corrected.

Feature: Segmented Pointer | Arrow | 2D Preview
Description: A preview now displays for the first segment of a Segmented Pointer and Segmented Arrow.

Feature: Sketchup 2025 Install | File
Description: Sketchup 2025 export was not working correctly.  This has been corrected.

Feature: Soffit | 3D | Roof
Description: Under some circumstances the roof soffit may not extract.  This has been corrected.

Feature: SoftList | Roofing Materials
Description: The formulas for Asphalt Singles and Cedar Shingles have no material selected, so they are listing every roofing material.  This has been corrected in the install.

Feature: Solid planes
Description: Cubes, Polygon 3D and Spline 3D and now Cylinders can have height of zero and extract as a plane in 3D.

Feature: Baseboard | Opening
Description: Baseboard is not wrapping properly at openings. This has been corrected.

Feature: Beam | Style Flush
Description: It was hard to predict where the beam would rotate to in 3D when the flush style was used.  Beam position is now shown in red dotted lines in plan.

Feature: Elevation | Sun Paint
Description: After saving an elevation drawing with sun study paint.  Changing the paint pattern could cause the paint to disappear.  This has been corrected.

Feature:  False Gable | Fit to Roof
Description:  Fitting walls to a false gable roof was not working properly.  This has been corrected.

Feature: Log wall | join
Description: Log walls with wall coverings could cause misplaced surfaces.  This has been corrected.
