June 23rd – What's New in SoftPlan 2024
Space for each webinar is limited. Sign up early.
Thanks for the class today! Even though I've been using SoftPlan since Version 3 (1993), there is so much detail in the program that I do not know about (especially in 2020), so it is really good to get these reviews.

Would it be possible to have a Friday Fundamental class that outlines how to setup, create, and apply system/project templates?
Thanks!
I’m looking to go over parts of the softlist seminar from August 11th, 2017. Will that be posted soon? Looking forward to going over parts of it.
Hey David, We will have the SoftList Friday Fundamental posted tomorrow. We are happy that you enjoyed the free webinar.
Hi Jim,
Just looking for that new webinar for softlist, I’m only able to find the kitchen design one and not the softlist one. Am I missing it somewhere?
kind regards,
Dave
Hi Dave,
Thank you for following up on that. We are uploading it right now. Should be ready to go later this afternoon.
Question: do you have a Friday fundimentals session on how to set up a template of a typical set of plan sheets, indexed so that when you create a project, the sheets populate with the information particular to that job?
Thanks.
Plan Set Templates is what you are looking for. There is not a dedicated Friday Fundamentals session on this but if you contact support they can walk you through haw to use them.
I’m trying to find the June 9th Friday Fundamental class for Kitchen Design. Is it on the website?
Not yet, it will be posted soon.
The Friday Fundamentals Kitchen session is now posted to SoftPlan’s YouTube channel at https://youtu.be/jT9A5vQulJQ
I noticed that the first two Friday Fundamentals on 5/19 & 6/2 say the same subject – Overview of 2018 New Features.
Question: Will both classes go over the same basic material or is the second class going into other new features of 2018.
Both seem like good options to me. Pat
I suspect that there will be some overlap but there are different instructors so the sessions may go in different directions. Plus there is no way you can get through all of SoftPlan 2018 in 45 minutes.
I’m a little confused. The Notice about Friday Fundamentals on the Start Page gives one set of dates and the sign up schedule has some old and some new with different dates and times.
I did go ahead and sign up thinking that updating the sign up schedule is something that is not a priority, which if I’m right is not very good customer service.
Also, I would suggest not having to sign up for each class separately. Having to do each one is 1.) It would save me and everyone else precious time, and 2). This can be done easily with a program change. This would really speed things up things and get me back to working on my client’s plans.
Thank you,
Respectfully,
Pat Murphey
The time discrepancy has been fixed, sorry about the mix-up.
Seminars are full already? Can we view video after the fact?
The Friday Fundamentals sessions will be recorded and posted to our YouTube channel here.
There does appear to still be room in the sessions see here.
Even Though the sessions are full can current users view the series after the fact?
The sessions will be recorded and posted to our YouTube channel.
PLEASE schedule additional sessions. So disappointed the sessions are already full.
We will certainly be adding more dates but there are spots still available in a couple of the sessions, see https://ww2.softplan.com/?page_id=3585
You should take the announcement off of the start page on Softplan since all of the spaces are full.
There are still spots in two of the sessions, please see https://ww2.softplan.com/?page_id=3585
All ready full? Not a good idea to announce and limit space.
The response has been a little overwhelming. Safe to say we will be adding more dates in the future.
Looking forward to further dates, since all seems to be booked out already.
We will certainly be adding more dates but there are spots still available in a couple of the sessions, see https://ww2.softplan.com/?page_id=3585
I just signed up for one of your courses. The time listed was 8:45 – 10:30 Central. The classes are 45 minutes long, and the listed time is 1 hour and 45 min. What is the correct time please?
Marti, our free Friday webinars are 45 minutes long. Our Online Classes are 1 hour and 30 minutes long with 15 minutes sign in time.
So, to learn how to use Soft List, costs money?
Jeff, With our SoftPlan Plus program a full SoftList training tutorial DVD comes for learning. We find that some of our clientele prefer to learn with a live instructor and so offer that as an option. If you have further question please call James Henderson to discuss.
The description says the seminars are at 11am CST but the sign up says 8:45am CST. What time are they?
Our Friday Fundamentals start at 11 am CST and our online classes begin at 845 am.
What is the difference? because the cover page says 11am Friday Fundamentals and when I click on the Friday Fundamentals link it opens to a page that says 8:45am. so if Friday Fundamentals isn’t online, what is it?
Where would I sign up for 11am Friday Fundamentals?

11:00 AM CST
I am interested in signing up for Friday Fundamentals this summer, but they don’t seem to be on the “live online training” form for registering. A little help please?
If you are an existing SoftPlan user please go to https://ww2.softplan.com/?page_id=1951. If you are not a user but interested in leaning more please sign up at https://ww2.softplan.com/index.html?page_id=1951&p=intro&key_number=.
The sign up/registration was very confusing as to the times offered and names of classes, as other comments indicate as well. When I got back around to looking for the reply, (I thought I would get an email, since my email address was required) all the classes are full. And, obviously, since I have an key, i am a current softplan user. This is disappointing. Next time, I suppose I will sign up first and ask for clarification later…
Looking to learning the software. I’m a Builder
You should probably start with the training content listed on the start page. Good Luck. Please let us know if you have any questions.
